Join Nutritionist and Italian Foodie, Dana Silvestri, as she discusses how to navigate a gluten free diet. Learn the hidden ingredients to watch out for, how to eat out safely, and where to begin when eliminating gluten.
As a Nutritionist, Dana specializes in digestive diseases and alternative diets. Diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at 18, Dana has been thriving with a gluten free diet ever since.
Be sure to attend as there will be special goodie bags full of gluten free treats for the first 50 guests!
Workshop 2:30 pm Gluten Free 101
Gauri Bawa, Registered Dietitian in charge of the CCA's client support and Jessica Danford, passionate advocate for the celiac and gluten-free community serving on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Celiac Association, will discuss what to do when you or your family member is diagnosed with Celiac Disease. A wealth of information offering the science of nutrition into plain language and first hand experience navigating the gluten free world!
Cooking Demonstration 12:15pm: TBA
Denise Thibodeau loves helping her clients discover fast and easy meal solutions using gluten free and clean ingredients for their fast-paced lifestyles. She offers hands-on cooking classes that are a ton of fun, as her clients discover and experience how easy it is to cook a balanced meal for their families. She de-myths the idea that cooking is difficult as she helps people answer the age-old question “what’s for dinner”.
